A lot of people use their e books library to keep track of all the books that they have ever read. To most people it’s a manageable amount. You know the titles by the covers, or by the author. You know how many books you have on your list because you’ve added them up. But did you also know that you could make your e book library even more organized and useful? You can with these helpful tips:

Separating your e books by category is the first step to taking better care of your e book library. In here, you’ll want to separate your books based on the subjects they cover. For instance, if you have children, then you need to separate your children’s books from those of adults. This will help prevent children from reading books that are not appropriate for them. It will also keep them from seeing books that are not suitable for them because they have found out that they are unsuitable to their age.

Next, sort your e books according to the subjects they cover. For instance, if you have an allergy to peanuts, you might want to consider putting peanut butter on books in your e books. Or, if you’re into weight loss or dieting, there are the books on dieting and the foods that will help you lose weight and keep off. If gardening interests you, there are the books on gardening, too.

You can also categorize the books by how old they are. For instance, how long have you been reading them? Are you still reading them? If so, then put that book in its own section. Don’t mix up these sections, though, because otherwise it can be confusing for your kids.

If you have an unlimited number of e books, then you can create your own sorting system. This works best if you have one computer per family member. Each member can use his or her laptop. After downloading all these books to each computer, make sure you copy all the books to a disc. Then, go through the disc with each family member at least once a week. If your child finds something he or she likes, he or she can show you that book.

Another way you can organize your e book library is to make a list of the titles you’ve discovered so far, and then start searching for the ones you know you’ll like. Use your favorite search engine, such as Google, to search for the titles you want. You might also be able to find lists of recommendations by readers online. Once you find some you think you’ll enjoy, you can download them onto your e book reader. That way, you’ll never have to leave the house.

There are a number of features that you should look for when buying an e book reader. One is the battery life. Most of them run on batteries; the newer models have up to ten hours of reading time. Another important feature is the screen size. The larger the screen, the easier it is on your eyes to read the small print on the covers of the books.

If you don’t have any e books yet, or you just want to add some, you can find several sources online. Amazon is one good place to start. Here, you can find several types of readers, and you can compare prices. eBay is another place to look, and many people sell e books that they no longer want. Finally, you can sign up for a free account at a number of websites where you can store your books. These websites often offer free shipping as well.
